Red Dead Redemption 2 Characters and Their Zodiac Signs in 2026

Red Dead Redemption 2 zodiac signs align each Van der Linde gang member’s personality with astrology for deeper storytelling insight.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve saddled up with the Van der Linde gang. Even in 2026, Red Dead Redemption 2 remains a landmark in storytelling, and the reason is simple: every character feels like they have a past, a wound, and a future worth fighting for. When I want to feel more connected to them, I don’t just replay missions—I look at the stars. Zodiac signs are not science, but they are a fun storytelling lens. So here is how I map the gang to the zodiac, based on the personalities and arcs that still haunt me years later.

My Quick Reference Table

Character Zodiac Sign Why I See It
Sadie Adler Aries Brave, impulsive, fiery
Leopold Strauss Taurus Money-minded, methodical, indulgent
Tilly Jackson Gemini Curious, adaptable, quick
Micah Bell Cancer Defensive, manipulative, self-protective
Molly O'Shea Leo Passionate, proud, dramatic
Susan Grimshaw Virgo Practical, orderly, critical
John Marston Libra Fair-minded, justice-seeking, grudge-holding
Bill Williamson Scorpio Brave, intense, risk-taking
Lenny Summers Sagittarius Freedom-loving, optimistic
Abigail Marston Capricorn Responsible, grounded, ambitious

Sadie Adler – Aries ♈️

I still remember meeting Sadie Adler and thinking she was just another damsel in distress. Oh, how wrong I was. Her arc is one of the best in the series, and her progression shows the bravery of a true Aries. She might be impulsive at times, but that fire is exactly what I love about her. When I ride with Sadie, I feel like the West is finally giving a woman the revenge story she deserves.

Leopold Strauss – Taurus ♉️

Strauss is the epitome of accounting. As the main money man behind the Van der Linde gang, he loves the sweet things in life, but he also wants every number to balance by the end of the day. In true Taurus fashion, he is stubborn, patient, and materialistic. If Strauss had not been as great an accountant as Dutch believed, there would have been no Van der Linde gang to begin with. I may not like his loan-sharking, but I respect his role.

Tilly Jackson – Gemini ♊️

When Dutch found Tilly and brought her in, he taught her to read and write. She picked it up quickly, and her curiosity was boundless. That is classic Gemini energy: adaptable, clever, and socially gifted. But her time in the gang was not easy. When her past came back to bite her, she could not have held up without her friends. Luckily, she had a great bunch behind her. I always make sure to check on Tilly in camp.

Micah Bell – Cancer ♋️

Micah is not the shiniest apple in the gang, but he is persuasive. A true Cancer in the darkest sense, he is always ready to defend what is his—or what he perceives as his. He goes to great lengths to make things go his way, even by manipulating those he calls friends. I despise him, but his zodiac match is weirdly perfect. Cancer can be protective and loyal, but when twisted, it becomes paranoid and controlling.

Molly O'Shea – Leo ♌️

Dutch’s love interest, Molly O’Shea, is a passionate lady. Her strong personality is a classic trope in the western genre, and I am happy she was added to the gang. She shows off her strengths, but she can also be too sure of herself, coming across as arrogant to the rest of the gang. Her status sometimes gets to her head, yet her presence picks up morale when she is not too much. A true Leo.

Susan Grimshaw – Virgo ♍️

Susan Grimshaw is the total opposite of Molly O’Shea. She makes sure the gang steers in the right direction, and sure enough, her main problem within the gang is Molly. Putting a Leo and a Virgo in the same room can be a dangerous mix. If those two signs had worked together in synergy, the gang could have gone really far. Too bad that did not happen. I still hear Susan’s voice telling me to contribute to camp funds.

John Marston – Libra ♎️

John Marston—how many times do I have to save you from those wolves? Every time I boot up Red Dead Redemption 2, it seems. The Red Dead Redemption protagonist stays true to his personality in the second installment, looking at all sides of the story before passing judgment. One thing is for sure: he will carry a grudge until the day he dies. Just as a true Libra would, Marston needs to bring justice to the West.

Bill Williamson – Scorpio ♏️

One thing I cannot say about Bill Williamson is that he is not brave. Before joining the Van der Linde gang, he tried to rob Dutch himself. That did not work out as expected, but he lucked out and found new meaning in life after that event. Like many Scorpios before him, his bravery tends to be a little out there, putting him at risk. This time, he was lucky. I still find him unpredictable in camp.

Lenny Summers – Sagittarius ♐️

Who could forget going out to the saloon with Lenny? No mission in gaming shows the beauty of a night out drinking with a friend as well as that one. You expect something to go wrong, but fortunately, the mission is just a good old-fashioned western bar scene. What makes Lenny a Sagittarius is his love for freedom, and what better way to be free than joining the Van der Linde gang at the height of outlawing? I always smile when I see him reading by the campfire.

Abigail Marston – Capricorn ♑️

The perfect counterpart to John Marston’s Libra personality is no doubt his wife, Abigail. From the first moments in-game, I see her Capricorn nature when John is brought back to camp by Arthur. Her responsible nature is also what drives John to be a better man in the first Red Dead Redemption, bringing out the best in him as he looks for her. In 2026, I still think Abigail is one of the most underrated characters in the gang.

Final Campfire Thoughts

After all these years, these zodiac matches still shape how I role-play. Whether I am corralling cattle or robbing banks, thinking about their signs makes the camp feel alive. The original list leaves out Aquarius and Pisces, and I have my own theories—maybe Arthur Morgan fits one of them—but that is a campfire debate for another day. For now, this is how I keep the excitement high and the connection deep. Red Dead Redemption 2 may be from 2018, but in 2026, its characters still feel like family.
